We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your responsibilities will include assisting the dentist during procedures, taking X-rays, maintaining patient records, taking impressions, pouring models and ensuring a clean and sterile environment. Duties:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Take and develop X-rays
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments
- Set up and breakdown treatment rooms
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist
- Take and record vital signs of patients
- Perform dental receptionist duties as needed
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
- Use CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software for creating dental restorations
- Utilize aseptic techniques to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Assist with medical imaging procedures as required
Skills:
- Proficient in taking X-rays and developing them
- Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
- Familiarity with CAD software for dental restorations
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and guidelines
- Ability to take accurate vital signs of patients
- Experience with medical imaging equipment and techniques
- Strong organizational skills for maintaining patient records
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and staff
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques to ensure cleanliness and safety
- Familiarity with medical records management systems
- Solid understanding of dental anatomy
